ダイヤモンド・オンラインが、パナソニックは、液晶パネルを生産する姫路工場で、主力の液晶テレビパネル生産を終了し、採算性の高い、タブレット端末や業務用モニター生産に事業をシフトすると伝えています。
パナソニックは、Appleなどの新規顧客獲得を目指しており、Appleのパソコン用の高解像度のモニターとして、サンプル品を供給しているそうで、パナソニック幹部は「相手からはかなり好評をいただいている」と話しているそうです。

Japanese financial report paper Diamond Online reports that Panasonic will finish to produce LCD for TV set, which were main product line of Panasonic, and will starts to produce profitable LCDs for tablet computers like Apple's device and for displays for workstation at their latest Himeji factory.
Report says, Panasonic is on the way to get new customers, and has already provided sample high resolution LCD panels for Apple. Chief person of Panasonic seemed to talk "(Apple) seems to be satisfied for samples".
