MacRumorsが以前、JefferiesのアナリストPeter Misek氏は、iPhone 5Sの6月～7月発売に向け、3月から生産を開始すると予測していましたが、信頼出来る情報筋によれば、FoxconnはiPhone 5Sの生産を一部工場で開始したようだと話しています。

iPhone 5と同じラインで生産されるようで、工程的な変化はほとんど無いようです。

また、NTTドコモが、2013年秋冬モデルのAndroid端末の発注数を減らしているようで、ライバル携帯電話会社は、この動きを、NTTドコモがiPhoneを扱うのではないかと予測しているようです。

しかし、シェア低下による予測生産数の見直しとも考えられます。
